Petite Sirah Estate Grown
The 2020 Eclipse is the ultimate late bloomer. Like the 2011 vintage, this wine was initially muted in aroma and flavor, and we held it back for some time. By the Fall of 2025, it had blossumed into a particularly rich and fruity wine, typical of Shadow Run Petites. At the 2025 Fall wine-club pick-up party it was the number one wine added to shipments after tasting.
Dark berries mingle with a dash of nutmeg on the nose. The first sip reveals intense flavors with a burst of juicy berry, descending into a silky dark mid palate with notes of dried cherries and red currant on the finish. The balance of fruit and acidity makes this an especially food friendly wine.
